Every year, celebrities compete in the What Love Is Not tournament. Chosen contestants travel to the domed Angel City where they plug into Valentine’s virtual reality system: GENESIS. They are then challenged to pair up with a romantic partner and survive the trials and tribulations of his deadly Island. The final surviving couple whose love transcends all others earns a seat in Valentine’s virtual heaven: the garden of Paradise.
For the show’s fiftieth and final season, Valentine has announced his retirement.
Who will control heaven when Valentine is gone?
This epic follows six unlikely characters as they compete in the games: a cancer patient in his last year of life, a nun spying for the Imperial Church, the princess of the Lunar District, a Martian samurai, an actress and recovered drug addict, and a boy with no memories who awakes one day in the confines of the game.
Of the hundred contestants competing, many will fall in love, but only two will ascend the white steps to Paradise and live past the final days of planet Earth.
